Association Health Plan (AHP) proposed rule issued

January 8, 2018

The U.S. Department of Labor issued a proposed rule that would allow small employers and sole proprietors to band together to purchase large group health plans that would be exempt from many of the requirements under the Affordable Care Act.

On a mostly party-line votes, both the House and Senate passed the compromise tax bill on Wednesday, December 20, 2017.

Senate Passes Tax Bill

December 2, 2017

Just before 2 a.m. Saturday December 2, the Senate passed its amended tax overhaul bill which includes repeal of the penalty for those not having health insurance (the individual mandate).
